Eisteddfod

For the first time, the Financial Ombudsman Service is taking part in the National Eisteddfod of Wales Festival in Blaenau Gwent (31 July – 7 August 2010).

Welsh and English speakers will be on hand at the ombudsman’s stand to help people who have a problem they can’t sort out with their bank, insurance company or finance firm.

The ombudsman service is also working in partnership with a wide-range of consumer-advice agencies across Wales providing support and guidance to front-line advice workers.

The ombudsman will be working alongside the Citizens Advice Bureau in Swansea on 28 July 2010, running a free face-to-face drop-in complaint-clinic for consumers who need help sorting out a problem with a bank, insurance company or finance firm.

Appointments are limited, so get in touch early!  To book an appointment, call: 0844 826 9328

Swansea – City Council of Swansea – 29 July 2010

Last year over 45,000 consumers from across Wales asked the ombudsman for help in settling a financial dispute. However, consumer research shows that people in Wales are still less aware of their consumer rights - including their right to bring a complaint to the ombudsman service.
